It's an exciting year for observing the presidential nomination campaigns!

As part of a January session course, my students and I will be traveling to Iowa to observe the presidential campaign and the caucuses firsthand. This blog will be a record of their observations, views, and activities. Students' posts will concern:
  • their impressions of the campaigns and the caucuses
  • their activities on behalf of their favored candidates
  • their understandings of presidential politics

Readers are welcome to post questions and comments. We'll do our best to respond promptly.

Congratulations to all of you Manchester College students who are immersing yourselves in the Iowa political scene at this crucial time. You are clearly taking advantage of the opportunity to learn side by side with your professor AND to see the caucus process first hand. I commend your enthusiasm! Have a good time in Iowa and return safely.
